I made this Garlic Sriracha Chicken last night for dinner and it was delicious! I did, however, make quite a few changes to the recipe to fit what I had at home and as well as how I cooked it.
So to clarify, I’m not a great cook and I also don’t have a lot of time to prepare everything. Luckily, we were gifted an Anova sous vide machine when we got married so I use that religiously. It’s so easy and you can cook everything in it! It’s basically a water bath and you just need to seal (we have a FoodSaver).
The recipe calls for you to marinade it before it’s cooked but I started prepping my meat on Sunday so I packaged 3 chicken thighs in a pack and sous vide all of the ones I’d be using this week. After they were all cooked (under an hour – but I just leave it in till I remember to take it out), I put them in the freezer and on the day I’m going to cook, I reheat them in the machine for 30 minutes and voila! I cut up the chicken thighs and threw them into the marinade.
I was also too lazy to use the oven, so I just stir-fryed them once I mixed it in the marinade. The end result was still tasty and I didn’t really care for the char.
I also cooked some spinach and garlic together as a veggie. Simple, easy dinner!
